Human emotion, that complex and explosive phenomenon, is centre stage in Montague Kobb\u00e9<\/strong>\u2019s Tales of Bed Sheets and Departure Lounges<\/a><\/em>, an unorthodox play articulated around a sequence of brief snippets that look into the most deeply personal aspect of daily life.<\/p>\n

\"\"Strangers silently flirting at the bar, a stalker following a potential victim unobserved, passengers absorbed in trivial midair thoughts, moments of desire but also of profound frustration in the bedroom, these dramatic tales open a peephole for the audience to spy the secret passions shared \u2013 albeit behind closed doors \u2013 by all.<\/p>\n

Tales of Bed Sheets and Departure Lounges<\/em>, directed by \u00c1lvaro Flores<\/strong>, is part of the programme of the CLAW \u2013 Contemporary Latin American Writers \u2013 Festival<\/strong>, an initiative to confront the capital\u2019s audiences with the vibrant talent driving the new creative scene from Latin America.<\/p>\n

Presented by Nic Knight Management<\/a><\/strong>, CLAW Festival\u2019s inaugural edition will take place on 3\u20139 July 2017 at the Cervantes Theatre in Southwark, the home of the Spanish Theatre Company and London\u2019s first venue dedicated to showcasing Spanish and Latin American theatre. The packed programme includes performances of Mona and I <\/em>by Rog\u00e9rio Corr\u00eaa and Turmoil <\/em>by J\u00f4 Bilac, as well as Tales of Bed Sheets and Departure Lounges<\/em>.<\/p>\n
